We collected this variety from a Middle eastern grower in Pennsylvania. He brought it from his homeland years ago and performed well in Pennsylvania. It bears a good crop of dark skinned figs that sometimes oozes a drop of honey from the eye when fully ripe. When allowed to fully ripen on the tree the skin develops some cracks and the pulp becomes intensely flavored with a jammy texture. After research we found it resembles a fig known as Brayghleh بريغلي and grows on edge of streams in north west of Levantine region. One of the characters of this variety there that it tolerates growing near water and even resists rain. As well as the cracked screen and no splitting.
